The Gospel Is Not of Man
"For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it,but by the revelation of Jesus Christ;' Galatians 1:12.
How do you feel when someone lies to you? Does it feel like your trust has been violated? I do not like for people to lie to me, but I like it even less when it is an obvious lie. It is almost like the person is testing my intelligence to see if I will even recognize that it is a lie. I asked my son one time if he had asked the blessing before eating. He looked right at me and said, "Daddy, I have not started eating yet." Remarkably, I was staring at his half-eaten hot dog when he told me that. It was easy to see that he was lying.
Sadly, there are a lot of false teachings in our world. To me, many are obvious lies because they are easy to disprove. Remember Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6). God's Word is the truth (John 17:17). Whenever you hear anything taught as ascriptural or doctrinal truth, youmust measure it against the Word of God. You do not have to take someone's word for it. At any time, you can pick up your Bible, pray and seek the Holy Spirit's guidance as you study it and determine if what you have been told is true by God's standard.
The apostle Paul did not get the gospel from other apostles. He did not learn it in the finest schools or from the best teachers. He did not use phrases like, "wellmy daddy always said" or "I have always heard" because he did not rely on his daddy or his friends or hearsay to teach him the truth. He reminded the Galatian churches that he preached the gospel of salvation by the authority of Jesus Christ. The Son of God had revealed the truth tohim.
JUST A THOUGHT
No one is going to Heaven because he believed a lie.Jesus is the only Way, and that is the truth.
