The Miracles by a Deacon

“The world has yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to Him” ― D.L. Moody

Many people believe that God can only use talented people who hold great position. Yet, throughout Scripture, God shows us that He equips those who are faithful and fully committed to His cause. Stephen was such a man whom God used greatly because he was faithful to God and fully committed to whatever God instructed him to do. Our key verse tells us that Stephen was full of faith and power, thus he did great things for God.

God seeks to use men and women who will faithfully serve Him according to His Word and how Holy Spirit leads. Throughout New Testament history, we find great moves of God happening through common people who simply obeyed God. When you and I commit ourselves wholly to the will of God, He will use us for His glory in ways that we cannot even imagine.

Second Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” God is looking for someone whose heart is fixed on Him so that He can use him people to do a mighty work.

If you and I will fix our hearts on God and surrender to whatever He may choose to do with us, we may see Him work through us in extraordinary means to bring Glory to His name. The kingdom of God is not filled with great men and women doing great things for God. Rather, it is filled with ordinary people fixing their hearts on God and experiencing His power in extraordinary ways.

Reflection: Fix your heart on God and surrender your life to whatever He wills to do with you.
