A Life Lived Under Grace

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace,” Romans 6:14.
The Christian life is not a matter of rules and regulations—it is a matter of relationship. Paul reminded us that we are no longer living under the condemning power of the Law, but under the liberating power of grace. The Law could expose sin but never remove it. Grace, however, not only pardons our sin but transforms our hearts, enabling us to live in obedience to the Lord we love.
When Paul said that sin shall not have dominion over us, he was not promising sinless perfection, but freedom from its mastery. Before Christ, we were bound to sin as slaves to its desires. But through the cross, the chains have been broken. We now serve a new Master—not sin, but righteousness. Grace does not give permission to sin; it gives power to overcome it.
The believer who lives under grace walks in a new kind of obedience. It is not the obedience of fear, but of gratitude. We obey because we have been set free. When our hearts are captured by the love of Christ, holiness becomes our delight, not our duty. The old life was marked by bondage; the new life is marked by joy, peace and willing service to God.
Grace changes everything. It reaches deeper than guilt and lifts us higher than our failures. It calls us to live not in constant fear of falling short, but in constant awareness of God’s mercy. When grace reigns in the heart, sin loses its grip, and righteousness becomes our new direction.

Thought For Today
Living under grace means we are no longer striving to earn God’s favor—we are living with it. Let His grace rule your heart, and sin will lose its throne.
