The Sanctity of Marriage

“Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets,” Proverbs 5:15, 16.

Devotion—“Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well” (verse 15).

The imagery of drinking from one’s own cistern emphasizes the importance of fidelity. A wife in the home deserves the full devotion of her husband.
