The Attitude About God’s Care

“But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows,” Luke 12:7.

In the last few years, one of the most valuable pieces of land in the world has been discovered in the USA. The McDermitt Caldera is a six hundred-square-mile area that spans across northern Nevada and southern Oregon. It is one of the world’s largest mineral deposits and most likely will produce close to $2 trillion in Lithium.

As Christians, we often get caught up in thinking that our value in this world is based upon what we can produce. Jesus gave us a clear message about our value. See those sparrows that are sold by men for half a penny? Jesus explained that they are never forgotten and that His eye is on them day and night. Sparrows are small among birds, rather plain, and they have a simple chirp. God does not value them because they stand out among birds but because God is their Creator and He said that they are valuable. Jesus then explained that we are more valuable than many sparrows!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Your value is not based on how smart, how beautiful, how strong, how much potential you have, or how much you can produce! Jesus said you are valuable because He made you and He loves you, period.
