About Steven Ridings

Senior Pastor, Central Baptist Church · Bedford, Texas

Steven Ridings was born into the home of a Missionary Baptist pastor. From his earliest days, ministry was normal and almost natural. He spent most of his life in California, then launched into full-time vocational ministry in 2004 in Southeast Texas. He has been blessed to serve the Lord and His churches in multiple roles: youth ministry, music ministry and as senior pastor.

He has been blessed by God’s grace to be married to Ashley Johnston and dad to four wonderful teenagers (Connor, Kiersten, Clayton and Colton). He has served as senior pastor at Central Baptist Church of Bedford, Texas, since 2016.

Since walking through a dark personal tragedy in recent years, he has a passion for helping people experience God wherever they are in their journey. His ministry motto has been: “Life is hard. God is good. Here’s some Scripture to help.” He is honored that God still uses broken vessels to minister His Word and His grace to the world.

His hope is to share this vision of encouragement with readers of the Daily Devotionals: to encourage the broken with the hope of God, to help Christians see people from God’s perspective and to help them faithfully and effectively grow in their walk with Christ.
