A Redeemer in All Ages

“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth,” Job 19:25.
Few verses in the Scripture speak with such confidence from the depths of human pain as these words from Job. Stripped of wealth, family and health, Job stood amid ashes and sorrow. Yet, in the middle of his despair, faith lifted his voice above his circumstances.
Job did not have the full revelation of Scripture as we do today, yet, his faith saw beyond his suffering to a living Redeemer who would one day make all things right. That same Redeemer—Jesus Christ—still reigns today. His resurrection confirms that death does not have the final word. Even when our earthly lives are marked by loss or hardship, we can cling to the same assurance that steadied Job’s heart.
Faith that endures suffering sees beyond the grave. It holds to the promise that one day these mortal bodies will be changed, and our eyes shall behold the Lord in His glory. The Redeemer who lived for Job lives for us. He stands as the faithful proof that God’s mercy outlasts every trial and that our hope is not buried with our pain.

Thought For Today
When the shadows of life grow long, remember the light of your living Redeemer. Though your circumstances may change, His faithfulness never does. Lift your eyes beyond the moment, and rest in this truth: the same Redeemer who sustained Job will one day wipe every tear from your eyes and make all things new.
