The Day of Christ
“And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed,” Joel 2:27.
It is difficult to see the events occurring today and not become discouraged about the future of the nation of Israel. Antisemitism has exploded. Israel’s enemies have become more brazen, and violence escalates daily. As we see prophecy fulfilled before our eyes, we know that God’s judgment cannot be faraway.
But one day everything will change. Israel will no longer be the scourge of the nations. Jews will not be hunted or hated. Jewish fathers and mothers will not be afraid for their children to play in the streets. And no one in Israel will ever go hungry again. Yes, one day everything will be radically different.
Because one day, Jesus Christ will return to this earth, set His feet on the Mount of Olives, conquer His enemies, bind Satan and establish His earthly kingdom. Jesus Christ will be the King of this earth, ruling and reigning in perfect righteousness for one thousand years. Israel will be restored. Physically, the land will flourish, and all the land God promised Abraham will finally belong to the Jewish people. Nationally, Jerusalem will be known for truth, and kings will come from across the world to learn the words of God. Jesus will protect Israel, and she will enjoy true peace. Spiritually, the Jewish people will accept Jesus as their Messiah, and worship Him as King of kings and Lord of lords. Every promise that God has ever made to Israel will be gloriously fulfilled.
After the devasting destruction of seven years of tribulation, Christ will return in glory with His saints to restore and replenish this earth. The changes will be so dramatic everyone on earth will know that Jesus Christ is Lord!
THOUGHT
The results of genuine repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is forgiveness of sin and a glorious eternity with God. Are you ready for His return?
