Ahaz’s Death

“And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchers of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead,” 2 Chronicles 28:27.
In a unique way, a person’s death can speak  louder than the life they lived. The life that you live formulates the eulogy that is written about you or spoken over you when you are dead. The treatment of King Ahaz after he died spoke volumes about the life that he lived. It is recorded in scripture  that King Ahaz’s body was not brought into the sepulchre of the Kings of Israel which was reserved for honorable kings (verse 27). 
King Ahaz’s life can be a picture of a life of a person that did not receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, they died an unrepentant sinner. God gives you the opportunity to have a relationship with him, however, if you reject his salvation and live life according to the wickedness of your heart, your life will be dishonorable in the sight of God and your death will not be precious in the sight of the Lord, and your eternity will be spent in hell. Proverbs 14:12 states, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
FINAL THOUGHT
After you die, you cannot unwrite what your life has already written.
