The Parties, Man and Woman
“Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God,”
1 Corinthians 11:11, 12
Have you ever heard of a male chauvinist? A male chauvinist is a man who holds fixed beliefs and attitudes of male superiority, and who disparages women in the belief that they are inferior to men. Because man was created first and the woman came from the man, there are some who think that women are inferior to men. However, this is not an accurate depiction of how God looks at the difference between men and women.
God wants everyone to worship Him, “Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord” (Psalms 150:6). It does not matter if you are a man or a woman, God wants worship from you. Just because men and women are called to some different roles in the family unit and in the church, this does not mean that they are different in Christ, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28). There is no room for anyone to think they are superior to another in their relationship to the Lord because God does not see you that way. If there are ways that you as a man or a woman can voluntarily give yourself over to the Lord’s direction for your life, you will be giving Him the Godly worship He desires from your life. No matter who or what you are, God has made you to be able to worship according to His Word.
JUST A QUESTION
Are you willing to worship God as He has made you and how He directs you in His Word?
