The Corruption

“Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts,” Hosea 2:2.
In a court case there is a process that takes place before a sentence is pronounced upon the guilty criminal. If the accused is found guilty of the charges that have been presented against him, the lawyer pleads the defendants case to the court in an attempt to get leniency for his client. At this point, the consequences of the now guilty criminal are declared.
All mankind has been corrupted by sin and stands guilty before God. Sin separates you from God, and Jesus Christ pleads with you through His Word to repent of your sin because sin corrupts your life and separates you from God. Romans 5:8, ”But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” God desires an intimate relationship with you and He desires to help you escape the corruption that is in the world through lust, which produces a death sentence. Without receiving Christ as your Savior and accepting Christ as your Mediator to God, your sentence cannot be altered. As a child of God, you can repent and plead for God’s mercy, and He is ready to restore you to a loving relationship with the Father. Corruption can creep into your life gradually. Corruption causes your life to stink, causes you to do things that are considered having bad taste. However, Jesus Christ can deliver you from the consequences of corruption by believing His Word and accepting Jesus as your Savior.

FINAL THOUGHT
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4).
