The King James Version (KJV) Bible is an accurate translation recommended by many respectable Bible scholars, churches, and preachers. In 1611, the original King James Version was published. King James produced a set of fifteen rules to guide the translators to keep their own personal biases from affecting the translation. The translators were experts in the original languages the Scriptures. In their integrity, they added italicized words where sentences did not translate to English thoroughly.

In 1769, an update was published. Spelling was updated to reflect the changes of the English language and the Apocrypha was omitted.
