This second book in Kathryn Butler’s Lamplight series is an interactive decide-as-you-go adventure set in Ancient Rome just before the Great Fire. Readers follow a second-person story and choose between two or three courses of action at the end of suspenseful chapters while encountering gladiators, prison cells and Emperor Nero. Bible verses throughout the story encourage children to apply biblical wisdom and rely on God’s grace.
