What To Expect: Encouragement, Preparation Tips and Excitement for VBS 2024
The 2024 Vacation Bible School from Bogard Press is entitled Shine! The theme verse is, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come,” from Isaiah 60:1. “Shine!” is a VBS focused on the meta-narrative of Scripture, looking at the redemption story of Jesus through the lens of five different stories (movies). Each day will focus on an element of the gospel as depicted in an Old Testament account. Each story will also showcase different genres found in Scripture, which are also found in films: Mystery, Romance, Comedy, Action and Musical.
Our 2024 VBS Seminar is designed to encourage, equip and excite VBS leaders who are preparing to lead their churches in their own Vacation Bible Schools. We are grateful to have qualified and experienced presenters at our seminar who will lead attendees to a better grasp of the VBS material.
Session 1: Elizabeth Stacks will teach Lesson 1, “Mystery at the House of Dagon”
Session 2: Jarrod New will teach Lesson 2, “Ruth and Boaz: A Love Story”
Session 3: Ryan Smith will teach Lesson 3, “Donkeys Don’t Lie”
Session 4: Kelli Reynolds will teach Lesson 4, “The Giant Slayer”
Session 5: Amber Coburn will teach Lesson 5, “The Leaping King”
Session 6: Elizabeth Stacks will provide guidance for VBS Directors.
