About Wally Fry

Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church · Star City, Arkansas

Wally Fry was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Shortly thereafter he and his parents moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where he grew up. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1985 with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies. After serving seven years of active duty in the U.S. Army, Wally returned to civilian life and spent the next two decades working in retail and management. In 2019, he returned to school and began a new career as a Registered Nurse.

Wally was saved at the age of forty-five during the worship service at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Star City, Arkansas. During his years at Bethlehem, he completed studies at the Faith Bible Institute, served on rotation as Sunday School and BTC teacher, taught youth and attended Budd Creek Youth Camp as a sponsor for multiple years.

Wally is now at Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Star City, where he sings in the choir and teaches the adult men’s Sunday School class.

His passion is reaching those who are lost and teaching those who are saved how to understand what they believe, and then to articulate that in taking the gospel to a lost and dying world.
