The latest revision to the King James Version of the Bible, the New King James Version was released in 1982 by Thomas Nelson Publishers. The NKJV Bible seeks to maintain not only the accuracy of the KJV, but also its poetic beauty. Considering the changes of the English language over the last centuries, the New King James Version manages to maintain a faithfulness to the early text, the poetic flow of the King James Version, as well as producing readable and understandable texts to the modern reader. The New King James Version sought to maintain a complete equivalence in the translation, seeking to translate the original texts as faithfully word-for-word into modern English. Much like the KJV Bible the NKJV Bible is beautifully poetic and approachable by modern readers.
The NKJV Bible, in the same vein as the KJV, sought to maintain a complete equivalence methodology. The goal was to translate the original languages into more modern English all while continuing to maintain the wording and grammar of the original as was possible.
