Bible Challenge in Five Easy Steps

Bible Challenge in Five Easy Steps

Bible Challenge in Five Easy Steps

What if teaching children God’s Word were as easy as five easy steps? What if in five easy steps you could help children become lifelong followers of Jesus? With Bible Challenge you can! In the noncompetition teaching format, teachers use Bible Challenge products to take participants through five easy steps each week to help participants connect God’s Word to their hearts and their lives. Each week participants will:

      1. Review the Student Challenge Card

      2. Read the Lesson

      3. Complete the Student Activity Leaflet

      4. Learn the Bible

      5. Play the Game

Let’s look at each step a little deeper.

1. Review the Student Challenge Card

The Student Challenge Card is the foundational product of Bible Challenge and is available in every age-group. It contains the various components that each age-group will be working to memorize each week in Bible Challenge. Teachers get to choose what verses students will study each week. Teachers know their students and what they are struggling with. We encourage teachers to use their judgment in making the best choices for their students. All age-groups will work hard on memorizing the books of the Bible in addition to the age-group specific Bible Challenge components such as:

      Bible verses

      Bible passages

      Verse search

      Bible questions

      Doctrinal truth

      Bible truth

      Steps to salvation

After choosing and sharing a particular week’s challenge component with the class, teachers can:

Discuss with the students what parts they should memorize (refer to the challenge component quick reference).

Have each student locate the doctrinal truth, Bible question or Bible truth in his Bible.

Discuss the doctrinal truth, Bible question or Bible truth in their own words to help the students understand its meaning.

Challenge students to locate the doctrinal truth, Bible question or Bible truth in their Bibles within the time allotted.

Challenge students to use their student challenge cards during the week to memorize the component they have learned about in class.

2. Read the Lesson

After reviewing the Bible Challenge component that your Bible Challenge class will be studying that week, teachers then get to share a Bible lesson that focuses around the component. These lessons can be found in the Teacher Book and are organized to follow the student challenge guide. Participants can follow along in their student activity leaflets. This provides teachers with a great time to lead a discussion about the lesson text with participants. Teachers can complete their lesson time by leading the class in the bonus activity from the Teacher Book.

3. Complete the Student Activity Leaflet

To reinforce the Bible lesson, teachers can then lead students in working the Bible Challenge Student Activity Leaflets that accompanies the Bible Challenge component being discussed that week. These leaflets will provide the students in your class with fun and hands-on learning experiences.

4. Learn the Bible

During the Learn the Bible segment of class, participants will work on their memorization skills. Participants will memorize the books of the Bible, learn how to find the books of the Bible and work on memorizing their challenge component using the templates found in the Teacher Book. This is also a great time to use the Bible Challenge Game Cards to work on learning the books of the Bible.

5. Play the Game

Using the Game Book, teachers will lead participants in various games and activities that will allow them to have hands-on experiences with learning, studying and becoming more familiar with the different components of Bible Challenge in fun and exciting ways.

Bible Challenge is a great way for you to help the children in your church to not only hide God’s Word in their hearts but also to connect God’s Word to their lives in fun and hands-on ways. Learn more about Bible Challenge and Bible Challenge products on our Bible Challenge product page.
