Business Manager’s Report:  December 2022

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalm 133:1)! The Psalmist understood the importance of brethren working together in the Lord’s work with a spirit of cooperation and Christ like love. Most persons, if having lived very many years on earth, have experienced both an atmosphere of brethren working together in love and the opposite. Most have realized that it is so much better to work together with a Christ like love.

        Life and its difficult struggles happen, and events will not always be perfectly suited for a stressless life. Having to labor in a conflicting atmosphere certainly does not help. Peter revealed the answer, “charity shall cover the multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8). The Greek word αγαπη (agape) for “charity” refers to a godly love. The English translators felt that the context required the English word “charity” which refers to expressing a godly love toward others. Indeed, when brethren laboring together flavor everything with love or charity, it is a pleasant experience. The wise man also wrote, “love covereth all sins” (Proverbs 10:12). It is amazing how the expressing of love can heal or at least help all situations in life.

        At the ministry in Texarkana, we make a purposed effort to flavor the work atmosphere with a Christ like love. Caring about the well being of others both comforts and encourages those who may be struggling. If Christ is in our hearts, He also should be in our homes and in our workplaces. He is to be our Lord and Shepherd in every area of life. Life goes better when He is Lord. May God bless the brethren with His sweet peace.
