Business Manager’s Report - March 2023

Business Manager’s Report, March 2023

As we see Spring approaching in the South, things begin to change. The lawns are turning green, and the trees are budding into leaves. There always seems to be a bit of excitement as anticipation builds for those things that cannot be done in the Winter, but Spring opens new possibilities. The truth that “God can do anything” always encourages me every morning and especially in a Spring morning. As I watch what God does in His creation, I am reminded that I also am one of his creations, so let the Spring spring forth and let us get excited about what God might do.

Vacation Bible School Seminar was a great success with a large number attending, both in person and on line. Sales at the Store were up. I appreciate the good workers who worked to make it a great experience. Also, thank you Northern Hills Baptist Church and Pastor Roger Copeland for always being our pillar of support. You are a blessing and a mainstay for us. We used the new Bible Room for the set-up of tables with materials for sale and this was a real blessing.

Concerning the new Bible Room, I had the privilege of visiting and working with the Texas Mission Builders at their shop at the Pine Springs Campground near Henderson, Texas. Due to the kindness of Eastside MBC of Jacksonville, Texas, Pastor John Bryant and the Builders, they are building our shelves for the Bible Room. Thank you. We hope to have the Bible Room operating sometime in April.

Recently, we had some needed concrete work done, repairing a deteriorating water flume and driveway edge, and a sidewalk that had a trip hazard. Further work is planned for our rear parking lot that is deteriorating as weather permits.

I continue to visit among our brethren, visiting various events. Many of these events are associated with our Seminaries. It is a blessing for me to see God continuing to bless and use our Seminaries to train Christian workers for His kingdom’s work. I am always reminded of the need to pray for God to call more men to the ministry of preaching the gospel and lead them to prepare themselves to be used in the work (Matthew 9:37, 38).
