BSSC CEO’s February 1, 2024 Report: 

WHY USE BOGARD PRESS MATERIALS?

            Someone recently brought this question to my mind, and I wish to give you my heart-felt answer. First, and perhaps most important, the Bogard Press materials are the only materials of its kind that are centered on the Doctrinal Statement of the churches of the American Baptist Association. ANY OTHER LITERATURE IS NOT. With any other literature, you may receive teachings that are not in harmony with the Doctrines agreed upon by the churches fellowshipping together in the ABA. These doctrines are all important principles of the Word of God, and men do not have the right to pervert them for their convenience. It matters whether literature teaches works for salvation or by grace through faith. It matters whether it teaches universal church or local church. It matters whether it teaches Jesus is God. The Truth matters and folks need the truth. The Bogard Press literature is not perfect, but at least you know, it is purposed to follow the doctrines agreed upon by the churches.

            Second, any customer of Bogard Press can call and talk to the Editor or me anytime about the literature. Most pastors either know me or the Editor personally. If something is not the way it should be, call us. You probably can’t do that with most any other literature.

            Third, if brethren don’t support the Bogard Press, and the Bogard Press goes out of existence, I wonder how long until some of those same brethren who used something else will say, “it’s a shame we don’t have our own literature.”

            We are blessed to have literature in harmony with our main doctrinal teachings, but we need your support, encouragement, and input. Working together, we can make it better. Stand with us and help us, and together, we will keep striving to produce biblical studies for biblical churches and individuals.

            All is well in Texarkana. It appears that the year 2023 closed well financially. Since Covid, the ministry has struggled, but because of the good prayers and help of the people of God, and the grace of our God, the ministry is doing well. Recently, we had to close for two days due to snow and ice, but reopened as soon as we could. Churches are planning and purchasing their 2024 VBS materials. VBS remains a wonderful ministry and outreach in any community. Northern Hills MBC, Texarkana, will be hosting the February 24 VBS Seminar. Please plan to participate either in person or online.
