CEO’s Report - January 2024

CEO’s January 1, 2024 Report:
As the New Year begins, it finds the Bogard Press and Baptist bookstore doing well. God has blessed the work, and the Team (all the employees including myself) has worked hard to accomplish good things. Changes are being made in some areas to improve our financial situation and to improve the way some of our processes work. I am encouraged as I look at the progress that we have made this past year. Also, the 2024 year ahead looks good for the ministry.
December saw a busy time in our bookstore with Bibles being a big seller. It is a blessing to me to see so many people buying Bibles for Christmas presents, often for young people in their families. Bible stores, such as this one, are extremely scarce, even for hundreds of miles, and so the store has a special place in the world and God is using it.
Through the Covid years, many upgrades and maintenances were placed on hold due to the tightness in finances, but as God has blessed, we have been able to accomplish some of those needed works. We are making some needed upgrades to software programs and both of our main presses have received special maintenance that will ensure our future printing.
Churches are planning for their summer VBS and ordering their literature. Northern Hills MBC of Texarkana, Arkansas will be hosting a VBS Seminar February 24th. We appreciate this church for their willingness to do so much over the years to help the work.
I am thankful for the BSSC brethren and a wonderful group of Employees with whom I labor. As the new year progresses, Bro. Mark and I plan to be out and about among the brethren as we can be. I hope you all have a blessed New Year, and just maybe, this will be the year when Jesus comes. Call or come visit me in Texarkana anytime.
