Aaron Affirmed

Buds, blossoms and fruit, when God chooses the man, His entire life should reflect the One who chose him. Aaron started out a chameleon preacher. To pacify the grumblers, he built a golden calf for Israel to bow down to, and they reverted back to the debauchery that they had left behind in Egypt. After Moses took him to the woodshed and the many experiences connected with his office, Aaron was convinced that the Lord’s work is serious business. God does not tolerate anyone making a mockery of that which represents His Son’s sacrifice for sinners. God even took the lives of two of Aaron’s sons who offered “strange fire before the Lord” in the Tabernacle (Numbers 3:4), and God would not let Aaron mourn their loss. To God, salvation is serious business, and pastors and churches who bring the world into His house are playing with fire. “He that despised Moses’ Law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:28, 29).

When one receives the mantle from God, his point of view must become God’s point of view. Even Jesus had an amazing sense of humor, but He never joked about God’s work.

Thought: Buds, blossoms and fruit, every child of God’s life should be a living testimony that he serves a living Savior.
