The Lord’s Blessings on His People
“O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,” Psalm 105:1-5.
The psalmist encouraged us to give thanks to the Lord and call on His name. Imagine it like saying a big thank you to God and telling others about the cool things He has done. It is like sharing the best news with everyone. Then, the psalmist suggests singing to God and talking about all the amazing things He has done. It’s like making up a song to express our joy and excitement about God’s blessings on us. This helps us remember that God is awesome, and it fills our hearts with joy.
The psalmist also tells us to be proud of God’s name and to find joy in seeking Him. As we continue to draw closer to Him, we find an incomparable fulfillment. Seeking God means trying to know Him better and asking for His strength, like having a friend who helps us when things are tough.
Finally, the psalmist encourages us to remember the awesome things God has done. It is like looking back at a photo album full of memories— we remember how powerful and loving God is. When we face challenges, remembering these wonderful moments with God can give us strength and courage. So, let’s take a moment today to thank God, talk about His amazing deeds and remember all the times He has been there for us. In doing so, our hearts will be filled with gratitude and joy.
DAILY REMINDER
