The Prayer for Continued Deliverance

“The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad,” Psalm 126:3.

When children are small they adore their parents. If parents love them and provide for them, the children usually return with great adoration. The worldview of children is restricted to the things in their immediate life; to them parents represent the source of all good things. Everything in the lives of children revolve around moms and dads. We all know that changes over time, as other things become the focus of the children. They soon realize that there are other sources of good things besides their parents.

We as God’s children are about the same way. We look to the Lord for our needs when we are needy and dependent. One day, we wake up and think we no longer need Him. We become self-reliant, separate ourselves from God and even become outright rebellious. There is one big difference between God and earthly parents; God’s ways are always perfect, and He never makes an error. If something is His plan, it is the best strategy.

Remember, nothing occurs in this world that is not caused or allowed to happen by God. Did you know that you put your feet on the ground this morning because God allowed it to happen? Did you know He sustains your very existence every minute of every day? If you have blessings in your life, God gave them to you. He is still working it all for the best if things are unexpected. He has done great things for you. Are you glad? If not, you do not fully understand God’s nature.

JUST A THOUGHT
All good things come from God, and all of God’s things are good.
