God Is Worthy of Our Worship
“O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods,” Psalm 95:1-3.

Worship is a voluntary and intentional response to God, rooted in the truths of who He is and all that He has done for us. The psalmist calls us to worship God with a joyful noise because He is our salvation. Many people will sing softly or not at all because they believe they are not great singers. Yet, this psalm calls us to sing with a joyful noise out of a heart of praise. The quality of the tone or the correctness of the pitch is not an issue. What God desires from us is joy-filled worship from a heart of gratitude.
Thanksgiving is a foundational conviction that leads the believer to worship joyfully. When we consider all that God has done for us, we cannot be silent or remain unmoved by His goodness to us. When a Christian considers their salvation and that God loves them in spite of their sinful state, he cannot contain his praise; it must burst forth joyfully. When the congregation is gathered and the music plays, the song of praise and thanksgiving very naturally bursts forth from the soul of a grateful child. Our God is great and above all others. Ponder this glorious truth as you consider the intensity and the volume of your worship. Does your song testify to others just how great your love is for your Creator? Is there a spirit of anticipation within you to join other believers in praise
to your King?
DAILY REMINDER
God is absolutely worthy of praise from the depths of your soul. May we nurture our hearts to be boisterous and joyful worshipers.
