The Raging World

A primary definition of rage is violent and uncontrolled anger. Why would anyone live in violent and uncontrolled anger against the Creator of the universe? Sin is a pervasive destroyer of anything it touches. The person it destroys most is the one who rages with rebellion against God.
Christians have been informed by the Word of God that we live in a fallen world that is under the heavy influence of the arch enemy of God: Satan. Satan is moving about the earth controlling the heathen to accomplish his battle plan against the kingdom of God. When someone rages against God, His kingdom and His truths, we can be sure they are under the control of a wicked master.
Christians have also been informed by the Word how we are to live in this fallen world that is controlled by the ruler of darkness. We must live godly lives that shine the light of Christ into the pervasive darkness of sin. We must share the light and hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ which is the only remedy against the darkness which Satan holds over this world.
At times, Christians may feel compelled to curse the darkness by rebuking unbelievers through our conversations and our social media posts. Yet, we cannot expect unbelievers who are trapped in the prison of darkness to correct their behavior. Behavior modification is not an eternal change. The only way we can make a difference in the raging heathen is to shine the light of Christ. Jesus’ love can pierce the darkness and win the heart of the most hardened heathen.

REFLECTION: Let us not get caught up in correcting the behaviors of raging heathens. Let us faithfully shine the light of Christ into the darkness of sin and allow His love to pierce their raging hearts.
