The Salvation of Souls

I have been told that my grandfather faithfully shared the gospel with a coworker for many years, seemingly without result. When my grandfather was transferred to another part of the state, he was grieved for his friend who had yet to be saved. Thankfully, his coworker was also transferred, and my grandfather continued to share the gospel. Eventually, his coworker came to church, walked the aisle and gave his life to Christ. True to himself, my grandfather was just a couple steps behind his friend, shouting joyously all the way to the altar.
Christians are empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the gospel wherever we go. Most times when we share the gospel, we will not see measurable results. Be assured, every time you share the gospel, the Holy Spirit will begin to work in the heart of the recipients and accomplish the will of God. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” If you faithfully share the gospel, God will accomplish His work in the hearts of those who have heard the gospel.
We must plan our daily routines by searching for and initiating opportunities to share the gospel with our acquaintances. We cannot simply live our lives, day in and day out, with no regard for the spiritual welfare of the people in our lives. God has called you to be a minister in your workplace and neighborhood to share the good news with everyone you meet.

REFLECTION: There is great joy for the Christian when someone with whom they have shared the gospel comes to salvation. Be faithful to share the gospel with people in your life.
