The Law of Receiving and Giving
"Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things;' Galatians 6:6.
Can you remember when you were saved? You may not remember the exact time of day or even the exact day or month. You may not remember who was there or exactly where you were at the time you trusted Jesus as your Savior. But you should be able to remember that moment. One of the ministry tools we use at our church is a simple question. "Can you go back to aspecific moment in your life where you trusted Jesus?" You would be surprised how convicting that question is for people. To me, it is right up there with, "If you died right now, where would you go?" If you cannot remember if you asked Jesus to save you, or if you are unsure if you are going to Heaven, there is agood chance you are not saved.
My grandad shared Jesus with me when I was thirteen years old, and my granny had just been called home by God. I am truly grateful to my granddad for loving me and my siblings enough to take advantage of that witnessing opportunity. He led all three of us to the Lord that day. If you are a child of God, you have a testimony that likely involves someone else. Perhaps you were saved at a church service or youth camp. You probably remember the speaker, even if you do not remember the message. Maybe you were led to the Lordby afamily member, friend or coworker. Whoever had a hand in leading you to the Lord, hopefully, you are grateful that person cared enough to share Jesus with you.
In our society, we talk about paying things forward. My granddad would be disappointed if I did not tell anyone about Jesus. The same can probably be said about the person who shared Jesus with you. Do not treat the gospel like it is abig secret. Share Jesus.
CHALLENGE
Tell someone about Jesus today.
