Spring 2023 Overview of the Adult Sunday School Materials

Come join us for an exciting and Holy Spirit power-packed study of the book of Acts entitled “The Power of the Holy Spirit Through the Churches” in the Adult Study Guide and the Adult Lesson Commentary for Spring 2023.

In the winter quarter, we examined chapters 1—14. In those chapters, we saw that the Lord commanded His disciples to be witnesses to the uttermost parts of the world. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). In chapters 15—28, we will see God called men being sent out to start new churches. The apostle Paul and his ministry partner, Silas, go into many new regions of the world spreading the gospel and starting new churches. We will also learn about the persecutions and arrest of the apostle Paul as he makes his way to Rome to preach the gospel in person.

The Adult Study Guide and the Adult Lesson Commentary will thoroughly explain the quarterly aim: “The student will learn biblical principles of how the Holy Spirit leads church sent, God-called men to start new churches.”

A Daily Devotionals quarterly is available in conjunction with the Adult Study Guide as three different writers share devotional thoughts for different days of the quarter to encourage you as you serve the Lord on your daily journey.
