Volunteer for Vacation Bible School

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

The time to volunteer for VBS! Vacation Bible School is quickly approaching, and your church needs you. VBS is an immersive experience where typical meeting rooms will be transformed into imaginative locales, inspiring awe and excitement in the hearts of students, even adults. VBS is the perfect opportunity for students to learn more about God and to be transformed by Jesus Christ. There is no greater blessing than to share God’s Word with someone who may have never heard it.

How can you help in your church’s VBS?

Help with the spaces:

  • Decorations need to be installed,
  • Tables and chairs need to be set up,
  • Buildings need to be cleaned,
  • Drivers need to be directed where to park, and
  • Students and parents need to be welcomed.

Help with the VBS stations:

  • Crafts need to be prepared,
  • Music and skits need to be rehearsed,
  • Games need to be set up,
  • Snacks need to be prepared and served, and
  • Classrooms need to be prepped.

Help instruct the students:

  • Churches need a director who will manage the VBS,
  • Churches need teachers who will pray, prepare and engage with students,
  • Churches need guides who will assist the students to help them learn,
  • Churches need leaders who will oversee each VBS station, and
  • Churches need members who will pray for life transformation to take place.

Now that you know the needs, there is only one question that remains to be answered: How can I help my volunteer church’s VBS this year?
