Winter Through-the-Bible Introduction

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth,” Acts 1:8.

This winter quarter, from December through February, Bogard Press is excited to provide Adult Sunday School classes with an expositional study through the first fourteen chapters of the book of Acts. Acts is a history book detailing the obedience of the early churches in compliance with the Lord’s commission to testify of Him to the uttermost parts of the earth.

The Adult Study Guide, written by Bro. Phillip Miller, provides the Bible student with a resource that will help the student “observe the power of the Holy Spirit as He works through the church in Jerusalem to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.”

The Adult Lesson Commentary, written by Bro. David Butimore, Dr. Jerry L. Medlock and Dr. Michael McCoy, offers 144 pages of study material to help the Bible student and teacher dig more deeply into Acts 1-14. The book of Acts is “the single definitive account of the early labors of the church in Jerusalem and the subsequent labors of other churches planted by the apostle Paul and others...Acts covers about thirty-five years, which was basically the first generation in what is generally considered the church dispensation.”

To encourage the Bible student with Scripture and wisdom related to Acts 1-14, we also offer the Daily Devotionals. These daily encouragements are written by Bro. Glen Knight, Bro. Steven Ridings and Bro. Wally Fry. You do not want to miss the daily encouragement these men offer from God’s Word.

I hope you will join us as we study Acts 1-14 this winter!
