VBS Blog 2023 - Character Introductions

Meet the Characters of Proclamation Safari Park, the 2023 Vacation Bible School of Bogard Press! 

Rachel Perkins - Head Park Ranger at Proclamation Safari Park. Her love and knowledge of the animals is only matched by her love for God’s Word and His people. She is the host for the week who introduces the animals and the Bible stories each day.  

Roscoe Crikey – Roscoe is the Assistant Park Ranger in training at Proclamation Safari Park. The assistant program normally takes two years to complete, but he has been in it for over seven years. He often gets the facts about animals wrong but has a great connection with them. Roscoe introduces facts about the animals that are usually inaccurate, but he does a good job at setting up the daily Bible stories.  

Tori – Tori is a member of the Proclamation Safari Park proclamation partners. She is well versed in animal facts! 

Colin – Colin is also a member of the Proclamation Safari Park proclamation partners. He is well versed in historical facts.

Beckett – Beckett is the newest member of the Proclamation Safari Park proclamation partners. He is not well versed in the animals or the Bible and will often be the one that asks the question that lead into the story.  

These characters show us that no matter who we are, how old we are, or what we know, we can grow to understand God’s Word and come to know God through faith in Jesus. We cannot wait for you to experience Proclamation Safari Park!
