Why VBS Matters

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” (John 14:6).

It is not too early to begin thinking about and preparing for Vacation Bible School next Summer. VBS has proven to be a consistent avenue for reaching new people with the gospel message. The program also provides an opportunity for church members to work together, employing a variety of gifts and talents, to create an environment where God’s Word may be poured into the hearts of students.

We are very excited about our 2023 Vacation Bible School, “Proclamation Safari Park,” available in October. This VBS will guide students to discover that Jesus alone is their rescuer. As students learn about how some endangered animals are rescued, this immersive experience will show them that they also need to be rescued by Jesus.

Daily lessons will teach students how Jesus came to rescue them by learning about His birth, by seeing how Jesus set the right example when He was a child, by learning how to follow Jesus, by learning how Jesus guides and protects them, and by understanding how the resurrection of Jesus guarantees victory for those who trust in Him. By studying the life of Christ, students will learn that He alone is their rescuer. Our prayer is that many souls will come to faith in Jesus Christ as a result of this Vacation Bible School.

Make plans to join our 2023 VBS Seminar from 8:00 am-12:00 pm on February 25, 2023, at Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. This event will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page. Presenters have already been lined up to come and share their insights on how to prepare for a successful VBS. We pray God’s churches will help many people come to say from their hearts, “Jesus is my rescuer.”
